How to use the male condom
There are some important points to remember when using male
condoms. Open the package carefully so the condom does not
tear. Push the condom to the side of the package and this
will help to prevent it from being ripped. The condom should
be put on the penis as soon as it is erect. Do not put a condom
on a limp or flaccid penis. Always squeeze the tip of the
condom with thumb and finger to leave space for ejaculation
(otherwise known as cum - the fluid which is released from
a man's penis at the peak of sexual arousal). If this is not
done there may be no space for ejaculation and the condom
can break. Make sure to roll the condom down to the base of
the penis. Always use a water-based lubricant. Hold the condom
at the head of the penis; squeeze the air out of the tip of
the condom to leave room for semen (at least an inch), gently
unroll ..onto the penis down to the base making sure no air
is trapped after you come (ejaculate) hold the base of the
condom and pull out while the penis is still hard, otherwise,
the condom could slip off throw the condom away and use a
new condom every time you have sex. After ejaculation, always
hold the condom at the base of the penis as you withdraw (pull
out). Tie the used condom in a knot. If the condom does not
balloon up, it could mean there was a hole or tear in the
condom. DISPOSE IN A SAFE WAY THAT KIDS WONT PLAY WITH USED
CONDOMS. |

Things to remember always about a condom
1.always use condoms made of latex. Use a condom every time
you have sex. Protection during oral sex: According to the
Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it is highly
possible to get HIV and other STDs during oral sex. During
oral sex, viruses could enter the body through tiny cuts or
sores in the mouth. The CDC recommends you use a condom for
oral sex on a man. For oral sex on a woman, the CDC says you
can use Saran Wrap, dental dams (square pieces of latex available
in some drugstores) or a square of latex cut from a condom
as a barrier between the mouth and the vagina.(attach picture
of dental dam)
2.Check the expiry date on the package before using it. Condom
packages show an expiration date. If a condom is past the
date, or looks dry, brittle, stiff, or sticky, it shouldn't
be used. Keeping a few spares on hand is a good idea in case
one rips while being put on. As a word of advice never use
a condom with 2-3 months towards its expiry date. Always have
new stock of condoms and always have spares.
3.Store condoms carefully- heat, light and friction damage
condoms. Condoms should be stored in a cool, dry place to
prevent breakage or leakage. To open, the package should be
torn gently on the side (not with teeth or scissors, which
could tear the condom itself) and pulled out slowly. NO HURRY.
TAKE EVERYTHING SLOWLY. YOU ARE SURE YOU WILL HAVE IT WHY
RUSH.
4. (a)Do not use oil-based lubricants: petroleum jelly, mineral
oil, vegetable oil or cold cream. Be careful with some vaginal
preparations such as estrogen cream, Monistat cream and Vagisil
as these can damage the condom. Check with your pharmacist
to make sure that the vaginal preparation you are using does
not damage latex.
(b)Use water-based lubricants such as Muko, KY or Astroglide.
Choosing the right lubricant: Using a pre-lubricated kind,
or applying a water-based lubricant - such as K-Y jelly or
Astroglide - inside and outside the condom can help prevent
rips. Oil-based lubricants (like Vaseline or other petroleum
jellies, body lotions, mineral or vegetable oils) should not
be used because they can cause the condom to dissolve and
eventually break. For oral sex, unlubricated or flavoured
condoms should be used(they must be made of latex as well).
5.Make sure the condom package is not damaged, check for holes
do not use condoms that feel sticky, this means the latex
is no longer good when opening the package be careful not
to tear condom with fingernails or jewelry.
6.Another thing to keep in mind while trying to select a condom
best for you, is size. Do not buy "Large" condoms if you are
not a large. Although you may feel this could be impressive
to your partner/s or friends, there is a risk of the condom
falling off if it is too big. Make sure to read the description
and directions, which are given on the carton or speak to
a pharmacist/doctor/nurse who can help you select the best
condom for you.NEITHER A SMALL SIZE CO IT CAN BREAK EVEN BEFORE
YOU START MAKING LOVE.
Try different kinds of condoms until you find the one that
fits you best.

FIGHT AGAINST AIDS STEP 1
PRACTISING SAFE SEX
a. USING CONDOMS : Most contraceptives don't guard against
HIV and other STDs; only condoms do - the male or female variety.
For HIV/STD protection, a new one is needed each and every
time you have intercourse, even when using another form of
birth control. MALE CONDOM
The male condom is a thin sheath that fits over the penis.
It is also known as a rubber, safe, rain coat, protective
coat, jimmy and willy wrapper. Most condoms available today
are made of latex, while a small number are made of natural
skin (lamb's intestine). While both types of condoms can prevent
pregnancy, only latex condoms are recommended for protection
against sexually transmitted infections (STDs). Many different
kinds of condoms are available; they can be straight or tapered,
smooth or ribbed, coloured or clear, lubricated or unlubricated,
with or without spermicide. The male condom is a thin sheath

Many different kinds of condoms are available; they can be

lubricated or unlubricated, with or without spermicide. Condoms
come in lots of colours and textures these days but only two
things matter: They should be made of polyurethane or latex
(which is way more reliable than animal tissue condoms) and
they should fit snugly. (Yes, they do come in different lengths,
widths, and thicknesses.)
Putting a condom on correctly:(BOTH PARTNERS SHOULD PARTICIPATE)
The condom should be put on before intercourse begins. The
rolled condom should be placed over the head of the penis
after it is hard and erect, leaving a half-inch of space
at the tip to collect semen. (Pinching the air out of the
tip with thumb and forefinger can help to prevent breakage).
Next the condom should be unrolled over the entire length
of the penis down to the base, smoothing out any air bubbles.
The condom should fit snugly and not look like it will slide
off during intercourse. Make sure the latex ring is on the
outside. If you realise you have put a condom inside-out,
throw it away. Use a new one.
Removing a condom: Immediately after ejaculation, the penis
should be withdrawn slowly before it softens. The base of
the condom should be held against the penis to avoid spilling
the semen as it's withdrawn. The condom should be wrapped
in tissue and thrown away.
BOTH MUST CHECK IF THE GAME WAS A SAFE ONE. A MALE CONDOM
IS NOT A MAN'S RESPONSIBILITY ALONE. SHARE THE RESPONSIBILITY. |

Why use condoms during Oral sex
Oral sex (blow jobs, eating a woman out) without a condom
does carry the risk of contracting sexually transmitted infections
or HIV/AIDS. There is a low concentration of the virus in
the man's pre-cum (the clear fluid that leaks from the penis
when it's erect). If a man cums in your mouth the risk is
increased. If you swallow a man's ejaculation (cum) the risk
increases even more. You can also contract a sexually transmitted
infection by performing oral sex on an infected woman. If
you eat foods with a sharp edge, like potato chips or crusty
bread, it can create small scratches inside your mouth, which
can act as a gateway for the virus. For the same reason, you
should not brush or floss teeth for two hours before or after
performing oral sex.
Most people prefer unlubricated condoms for oral sex.
A dental dam, or a male condom made into a dental dam can
provide protection for oral sex on a woman. To make a dental
dam, carefully tear off the ring at the base of a condom.
Make a small tear in one side of the condom and pull it
apart, splitting it along its length. Lay it flat against
your partner and lick through the condom.
